Curt R. Ward, MD

Curt Ward, MD, MBA, FAAFP was born and raised in Brookston, Indiana on a corn, soybean, and registered Hereford farm. During his childhood, he often traveled to Leelanau Peninsula to enjoy the beauty of northern MIchigan.   

After receiving his undergraduate degree from Purdue University, Dr. Ward went to Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency from Ascension St Vincent in Indianapolis.   

Having grown up in a small rural community, Dr. Ward always envisioned being a physician who served the community broadly through an interest in all aspects of medicine, which is why he chose family medicine. Being present with patients and walking through important milestones of their lives is one of his favorite parts of practicing medicine. Additionally, he is passionate about education and training, which is why he chose to work for Munson Family Practice Center.

Dr. Ward is married to his wife Kristy Ward, MD, an emergency medicine physician in Ludington. They have two children, Jack and Kate, and three dogs. They enjoy living on Little Glen Lake and the peace and view of the Sleeping Bear Dunes.
