F. Matthew Smith, MD

Dr. F. Matthew Smith founded Great Lakes Plastic Surgery Center, PC in Traverse City, Michigan in 1998. Since then, he has provided quality, compassionate cosmetic and reconstructive surgery services to thousands of patients in Michigan with beautiful results. He has surgical privileges at Munson Medical Center, Otsego Memorial Hospital, and Copper Ridge Surgery Center. Dr. Smith is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Michigan State Medical Society. Dr. Smith also serves as chairperson of the Plastic Surgery Section at Munson and serves on a variety of committees. Dr. Smith has been on faculty at both Central Michigan University and Grand Valley State University and is currently on the clinical teaching faculty for Michigan State University.
