About Aeman Hana
Aeman Hana, DO, was born in Baghdad, Iraq and grew up in Athens, Greece. He completed his undergraduate studies, medical school, and medical training in Detroit.
Teaching is a big part of what drew Dr. Hana to medicine and he enjoys educating patients about nutrition, exercise, and medication management. Treatment is multifaceted and it's important to him that patients understand that medications are not always the answer.
“I truly appreciate the ability to help patients comb through the complexity of medicine,” he says.
Dr. Hana chose cardiology because cardiovascular disease remains the number one killer of Americans. Although remarkable advances in medical care have been made to prevent cardiovascular disease, it unfortunately remains the leading cause of death. He chose to practice cardiology to prevent cardiovascular disease morbidity and mortality by using evidence-based medicine from national guidelines and consensus statements in formalizing an individualized approach.
Dr. Hana’s obligation and primary service is to his patients and community. Public health advocacy, honesty, informed consent, and shared decision making are the four pillars of his medical practice.
In his free time, he enjoys working on cars, woodworking, and welding.
