About Allyson J. Barker
Allyson Barker, DO, is a Michigan native from North Muskegon.
Dr. Barker loves practicing in a small town. She wants to be part of a community both within and outside of the office. She chose to practice family medicine because of the variety of care she can provide. She is passionate about preventative healthcare and lifestyle interventions to help keep her patients active and healthy.
“I get to know my patients on a personal level. I love when I help someone navigate through a challenge whether it be related to their physical or mental health.”
Dr. Barker is a former captain of the Michigan State University volleyball team and the libero and defensive specialist from 2007-2010. She still loves to play volleyball. Her husband was in the Coast Guard and is now a stay-at-home dad to her three children. Her family loves hiking, camping, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
