Andrew S. Cole, MD

Dr. Cole is a physiatrist with a varied background. He received his bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Religion from St. Olaf College in MN, his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University in Indiana, and his medical internship from Kalamazoo, MI a MSU branch location. He did his medical school and residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He recently came to us in May 2017 from Kalispell Regional Medical Center in MT where he served as Department Chair for Medicine and was Co-medical director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the inpatient rehab unit. He is board certified by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has authored multiple scholarly publications and given national presentations. He was brought in by Mary Free Bed as a brain injury specialist and to help with consultation and inpatient rehab services for Munson Medical Center. He enjoys running, mountain biking, and lake sports activities and moved to Traverse City with his wife, 2 young boys, and 3 dogs for the abundant outdoor activities and due to family ties.
