David B. May, DO

Dr. David May is the owner and managing physician of East Bay Medical. He has practiced medicine for over 25 years and, for the last 20 years, has been in Traverse City. Dr. May is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO), a certified DOT medical examiner and board certified in family medicine

East Bay Medical is a medical practice that specializes in DOT driver exams and drug and alcohol testing. East Bay is a consortium/third party administrator that owns and administers federal drug testing consortia for FMCSA, FTA, the USCG, and FRA.

Dr. May has extensive experience reviewing and verifying drug and alcohol testing results for federally mandated testing as well corporate drug testing and helping organizations implement a Drug Free Workplace.

Besides his extensive background in DOT driver exams and drug and alcohol testing, Dr. May provides occupational health services like work injury, pre-placement physical exams, and pre-placement agility testing.

He proudly served his country as an officer in the United States Navy Medical Corps.

Dr. May loves the outdoors, especially skiing and hiking. Dr. May enjoys and appreciates the abundant recreational activities that living in Northern Michigan affords.
