About James R. Shurlow
James Shurlow, DO, FACOS, FACS, is a Michigan native from Fenton.
Dr. Shurlow was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by his grandfather, a surgeon. He chose general surgery because it allows him to actively fix problems in the operating room and see immediate, meaningful results for his patients.
“I’m focused on delivering thoughtful, precise care with a strong emphasis on achieving excellent patient outcomes,” he says.
Outside of work, Dr. Shurlow enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying all of what Northern Michigan has to offer.
Dr. Shurlow is recognized as a Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).
