John Yarema, DO, is a Michigan native from Oxford.
Dr. Yarema was drawn to a career in psychiatry because it allows him to learn more about his patients' lives and how it shapes their current lived experiences.
"I aim to be a thoughtful, collaborative partner in my patients' care, taking the time to understand them as a whole person, not just their diagnosis," he says.
Dr. Yarema has special interests in the biological, genetic, and emotional impacts on behavioral health.
Dr. Yarema lives in the greater Traverse City area with his wife and their pets. Outside of work, he enjoys staying busy running, golfing, gardening, and working on home and car projects.
