John G. Tazzi, PA

John is a devoted Physician Assistant with extensive experience in orthopedics, dedicated to helping patients reclaim their mobility and quality of life. At Munson Orthopedic Institute, John works closely with Dr. VanWagner, using a collaborative approach to ensure each patient receives tailored treatment to provide comprehensive care before, during and after surgery. 
John graduated with honors from Eastern Virginia Medical School earning the PARAGON award for clinical excellence. Following completion of  the Physician Assiatant progrm at EVMS, he felt a strong calling to specialize in orthopedic care, driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Having witnessed the profound impact that orthopedic injuries and joint pain can have on individuals and their families, John approaches each patient with empathy and understanding.  He believes that every patient’s journey is unique and takes the time to listen to their concerns and hopes. From the initial consultation to development of conservative treatment plans to peri-operative care, he strives to create a supportive environment where patients feel valued and empowered.
John finds joy in building relationships with patients. He is dedicated to empowering his patients through education, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the diagnosis and engaging them in the decision making process. He is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in orthopedic techniques and  rehabilitation strategies, attending conferences and participating in ongoing education to stay up-to-date with the latest treatments and advancemens in orthopedic surgery.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family, wood working, hiking/outdoor activities and strength training. This helps him maintain a well-rounded perspective on health and wellness. With a heartfelt commitment to patient care, John is passionate about helping individuals not just recover, but thrive, enabling them to return to the activities they love with renewed vitality.
