About Kersti M. Bruining
Kersti Bruining, MD, is a Michigan native born and raised in the Detroit area. She has lived and practiced in Traverse City since 2000.
Dr. Bruining chose neurology because she finds the brain and nervous system to be fascinating and there is always something new to learn.
As a neurohospitalist, Dr. Bruining cares for neurology patients who are hospitalized. She enjoys working with other healthcare team members to help improve each person’s quality of life.
“Connecting with patients is my favorite part of practicing medicine. My goal is to be a valuable member of each patient’s healthcare team.”
Dr. Bruining is married with two adult children. She enjoys all four seasons the local area offers. Music is an outlet, and she loves to play the fiddle with her friends. She enjoys the company of her two cats.
