About Michael J. Sand

Michael Sand, DO, is a Michigan native from Port Huron.
Dr. Sand was inspired to pursue his career in sleep medicine after seeing his father, another sleep medicine provider, make a positive impact on his community. The American Association of Sleep Medicine has acknowledged that Dr. Sand and his father are the first known father and son to both become sleep medicine doctors.
“I love what I do and enjoy helping patients,” he says.
Dr. Sand feels rewarded when patients improve their ability to participate in the things they love through improved health and function. He enjoys talking about sleep medicine and encourages his patients to ask questions.
In his free time, Dr. Sand enjoys finishing, golfing, and woodworking.
