About Nathan A. Rousse
Nate Rousse is a Michigan native who was raised in Traverse City.
After serving as a medic in the U.S. Army, he was recruited by his mom, an oncology nurse, to join Dr. Schwert's practice in Traverse City. He finds oncology care to be an incredibly meaningful and important role.
“My favorite part of medicine is making a positive difference and being a part of my patients’ team,” he says.
Nate earned his nursing degree from Grand Valley State University and his nurse practitioner degree from Michigan State University.
He is married to his high school sweetheart. They have two sons who love to be outdoors and fish whenever they can.
