Nathan C. Sailor, DO

Nathan Sailor, DO, was born in Jackson, Michigan. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in health science at Spring Arbor University and obtained his Medical Degree from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency through Michigan State University’s Munson Family Medicine Residency program. He is board certified in Family Medicine and inducted as a Fellow in The American Academy of Family Physicians. 
Dr. Sailor is a family physician in a multi-specialty rural health center at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, where he also serves as medical director of the rural health clinic. He helps provide medical care coverage for a long-term care facility and critical access hospital inpatient unit in addition to the emergency room. He has special interests in emergency medicine, non-surgical weight management and started a multi specialty weight management clinic. Additional interests include pain rehabilitation, non-operative orthopedics/sports medicine, dermatology, pediatrics, prenatal medicine, men's health, women's health, and diabetes management.
During medical school, residency, and his early years in training, he served for eight years in the Michigan Army National Guard as an infantry battalion surgeon and medical officer. 
In his free time, he enjoys adventuring with family in northern Michigan, hobby farming, hiking, camping, skiing, biking, traveling the world, searching for ruffed grouse with his bird dogs, and fishing in the rivers and lakes near his home.
