Ryan Burke, MD

Ryan Burke, MD, is an Indiana native with a deep connection to Michigan, where his family moved after he graduated high school. His childhood was filled with memories of skiing at Crystal Mountain and spending summers in Northern Michigan, fostering a lifelong love for the area. 

Dr. Burke’s decision to specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery was driven by the field's vast scope, which goes beyond cosmetic procedures to include critical work such as cancer reconstruction, facial trauma repair, extremity salvage, and soft tissue removal after significant weight loss. This diversity allows him to collaborate with a wide range of patients and medical professionals, applying creativity and flexible principles to both cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries.

“I enjoy taking care of patients, whether it is helping them with complex reconstructive concerns, or improving their self-image and confidence,” he says.

After years of working in private practice, Dr. Burke joined Munson Healthcare’s Great Lakes Plastic Surgery and Skin Center to help continue to treat the community regardless of their need or background.

Outside of work, Dr. Burke enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, out on the water in the summer and skiing during the winter.
