Shannon L. Slocum, NP

Shannon Slocum, FNP-C, was inspired to pursue a career in family medicine after working closely with a physician who exemplified compassionate, patient-centered care. Shannon furthered her education, motivated to have a similar impact and empower patients to take charge of their health and well-being. 
 
"I am deeply committed to advocating for my patients and helping them access the care and support they need and deserve," she says. 
 
Shannon especially enjoys evaluating complex symptoms and working through testing to reach an accurate diagnosis. She has a special interest in autoimmune conditions, thyroid disorders, diabetes, and mental health. 

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys creating meaningful memories with her family, which includes her three children, their Doberman and bearded dragon. Through advocating for her son, who has level 3 autism, she has developed a passion for supporting other parents of autistic children as they access support services and navigate challenges.
